Welcome to JDRF Kids Online, the Web site for kids with diabetes and their friends and family.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is here to find a cure for diabetes—and to help you deal with diabetes day-to-day.

Browse through the five "zones" for stories about kids with diabetes and lots of fun stuff:

  • New to Diabetes?: Answers to your questions about diabetes, and help handling the changes it brings to your life.
  • Your Life (with Diabetes): Lots of info about coping with diabetes and connecting with others, such as taking diabetes back to school.
  • The Search for a Cure: The latest from scientists who are working on a cure and ways to make your life with diabetes easier.
  • Make a Difference: News about JDRF kids and events, like the JDRF Children's Congress. Ways YOU can help find a cure.
  • Your Stuff: Your stories, artwork, and ideas—PLUS pen pals, polls, and contests.

What else can you do here?

Search for Topics The links on the left side of each page show the most important topics in that zone.  If you are looking for a specific topic, just use the search box to find it (it's on every page).

Look Up New Words Whenever you see a "dictionary" button next to a word, you can click on that word to get a definition.

E-Mail Pages to Your Friends

Any time you see something interesting, you can send it to your friends by clicking on the "e-mail" button at the top of the page (it looks like an envelope).
