Hi I found out I had Diabetes at the age of 15. I t was a total surprise to me and my family. I had all the symptoms,but some how they were ignored until I had a physical and it was confirmed by my doctor. I am trying to deal with it the best way I can. My mom is a huge supporter and she helps me out a lot with coping with this disease. She reminds me to take my insulin. Some times I forget to take it. I am very active. I dance ,play golf and I do weight lifting to keep my weight down. I am in the JROTC which keeps me pretty busy. Diabetes runs in my family.I have an uncle and a cousin who have diabetes on my mom's side of the family.My grandpa's sister has it ,so I guess I inherited it too. I don't let diabetes stop me from doing what I want to do.
