Even if you're a kid, you can help make life a little easier for ALL people with diabetes. One of the things you can do is tell others what you know. Writing or talking to people in your family, the government, or local businesses can help the cure come a little faster. Explain the problem and ask them to help find some solutions. Here are some great ways to be heard:
Children's Congress Every two years, hundreds of kids just like you gather in Washington, D.C., to tell our leaders, "We need a cure!"
Tell Your Story You can meet your Members of Congress and ask them to promise to remember you when making decisions about diabetes research.
Ask the (Future?) President... Caleigh, 13, from New Hampshire had a chance to meet the Democratic candidates and ask them about their support for research for a cure.
Be a Leader Do you picture yourself in Washington someday making the big decisions? Here's how to get involved and learn more about government.
